Collingwood's Travis Cloke has taken an early plea and has accepted a two-match ban for striking Port Adelaide's Travis Boak during the first quarter of the Friday night match at AAMI Stadium.

Cloke, who took four marks and booted one goal in the 26-point win (match report), will miss his first match since round 10 last year.

The 2007 Copeland Trophy winner is enjoying a fine season averaging a career-high in disposals (15.0) while kicking 21 goals for the year.

Cloke's suspension could open the door for forwards Paul Medhurst (three goals in the VFL  on the weekend) or Josh Fraser (two goals), who is one game shy of chalking up 200 AFL games (click here to recap the live VFL match chat).

Match Review Panel assessment
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), medium impact (two points) and high contact (two points). This is a total of seven activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Four offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of one match suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 10 per cent to 357.50 points. An early plea reduced the sanction by 25 per cent to 268.13 points and a two-match sanction.

Other incidents assessed from Friday night:
Contact between Collingwood’s Jack Anthony and Port Adelaide’s Daniel Stewart from the fourth quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. The panel said Stewart was going for a mark as Anthony jumped towards him with the intention to spoil the ball. Anthony had his arm outstretched in a spoiling motion but when he realises the mark has been spilled by Stewart, he braces himself for contact. His actions were not deemed to be a reportable offence and no further action was taken.
