AS OF lunchtime Thursday, Josh Fraser is set to play in Friday night's blockbuster between Collingwood and Geelong.
The 26-year-old hurt his knee in the Hall of Fame Tribute match, and wasn't named for last Friday night's clash with St Kilda.
Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse said Fraser would be named in the team later this evening.
"Josh is playing right now, and really, that's the way it is in football," Malthouse said.
"You pick the side on your training, and we have until tomorrow to work through it."
Malthouse said he expected the 163-game veteran to pull up OK on Friday after training on Thursday morning.
"I wouldn't have named him if I didn't think he'd play. He'll go into the 22 tonight. I'm not going to play games like that – if the bloke is comprehensively not going to play, he won't be named."
