The AFL wishes to advise the match review panel has reviewed the weekend's matches. The following charges were laid:

Charges Laid:
Aaron Joseph, Carlton,
has been charged with a level one offence for misconduct in that he stood on the hand of Stephen Milne, St Kilda, during the second quarter of the Round 24 match between Carlton and St Kilda, played at the MCG on Saturday September 3, 2011.

In summary he can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.

After viewing the available footage and conducting an investigation, the panel determined it was appropriate to lay a misconduct charge. A first offence for misconduct is a $1200 sanction. A early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to $900.

Stephen Milne, St Kilda, has been charged with a level two striking offence against Aaron Joseph, Carlton, during the third quarter of the Round 24 match between St Kilda and Carlton, played at the MCG on Saturday September 3, 2011.

In summary, his previous good record means that one-game sanction is reduced to a reprimand and 70.31 points towards his future record, with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report available from the Carlton Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing five-year good record, reducing the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 70.31 points towards his future record.

Other Incidents Assessed:

Contact between Carlton's Mitch Robinson and St Kilda's Clint Jones from the first quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. Jones has taken possession of a loose ball when he is tackled by a Carlton player and the ball is knocked out of his hands. Player Robinson makes contact to Jones with a bump and a free kick is paid for high contact. It was the view of the panel that the force used in the bump was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Contact between St Kilda's Dean Polo and Carlton's Marc Murphy from the fourth quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
