Collingwood will play five interstate games next year in rounds four, seven, nine, 18 and 20 according to a report in today’s Herald Sun.

The team will travel to Port Adelaide in round four, Brisbane in round seven, Adelaide in round nine, Western Sydney in round 18 and Sydney two weeks later in round 20 to take on the Swans.

Similar to this year's record attendance at Metricon Stadium against the Gold Coast Suns, the Magpies will travel to Blacktown, Greater Western Sydney in 2012 to take on the League's 18th team.

Collingwood will not have to make the three hour journey to Perth once in 2012, with matches against Fremantle and West Coast set to take place in Melbourne.

The Pies travelled four times in 2011 with all of those trips taking place after the mid-season break in round 13, while the 2012 fixture looks to spread interstate travel for the Magpies accross the home-and-away season.

The AFL also revealed the round one fixture last week, with Collingwood set to kick off its 2012 campaign by taking on Hawthorn on Friday 30 March under the lights at the MCG.

The entire 2012 AFL fixture will be released on Friday 28 October; stay tuned to collingwoodfc.com.au for a full wrap up of the Magpies’ fixture.
