Scott Pendlebury's ANZAC Medal performance was backed up by the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year voting with Pendlebury receiving a match-high six votes.

The vice-captain's 29-disposal performance earned a maximum five votes from one senior coach while polling one vote from the opposing coach.

Considered best on ground in one coach's votes, Dayne Beams was awarded five votes and now sits in fourth place (tied with Alan Didak) on the Collingwood leader board.

Closing the gap on leader Heath Shaw, two-time Copeland Trophy winner Dane Swan polled two votes to move two votes behind the running defender.

In the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, head coaches vote each week on a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis. Coaches vote only on their own matches, but may vote for players on the opposing team.

Past winners of the prestigious award include Gary Ablett Jnr (2007-09), Simon Goodwin and Adam Goodes (joint winners in 2006), Barry Hall (2005) and Warren Tredrea (2004).
