MELBOURNE duo Daniel Bell and Addam Maric will miss the rest of the season through injury.

Bell suffered a dislocated left AC-joint against Port Adelaide last Sunday and underwent surgery on Tuesday to relocate and stabilise it.

He will undergo rehabilitation and is expected to resume full training when Melbourne starts its pre-season in October.

It continues a frustrating year for Bell, who has played just three matches, due to a thumb injury interrupting his start to the season.

Maric, who has played six matches for Melbourne this season, has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury. He too has already undergone surgery to reconstruct his left shoulder.

He suffered the injury playing for the Casey Scorpions in the VFL.

Maric is also expected to make a full recovery in time for Melbourne's 2010 pre-season.
