LIONS midfield prime mover Travis Johnstone has implored his team-mates to continue their aggressive tackling and attack on the ball ahead of Saturday's crunch match against the Western Bulldgos.

Johnstone was a star in Sunday's 22-point win over Fremantle, racking up 26 possessions and kicking three goals straight to pilot the Lions to their fourth straight win.

After a slow start to the season, the 28-year-old former Melbourne Demon has come on hugely in the month of victories.

He said sitting at 7-4 after 11 rounds was a terrific start for the Lions, but the following two weeks against the Bulldogs and Adelaide Crows would tell a tale.
