The Board of the Sydney Swans wishes to inform members that the arrangement with the Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club (trading as Club Swans) to use the premises as a social club has come to an end.

This is due to the Directors of The Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club (SARSC) today confirming that despite negotiating since October 2010 the club has been unable to agree on commercially acceptable terms for the renewal of the club’s lease at its premises at 29 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross following a change in ownership of these premises..

As a result of these circumstances the Directors of SARSC have resolved that the Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club will be unable to continue trading from tomorrow. Ferrier Hodgson have been appointed as administrators to oversee the orderly winding up of the Club’s business affairs.

The Sydney Aussie Rules Social Club is licensed to use the name Club Swans under an agreement with the Sydney Swans Football Club. The Sydney Swans Football Club’s operations are completely separate from Club Swans and are unaffected by today’s announcement.
