The Lions have added senior players Tim Notting and Justin Sherman to the side that lost to Melbourne by 37 points in Cairns last Friday while Captain Jonathan Brown will be looking to play his first full match of 2009 after impressing in half a game against the Demons.
Jared Brennan will miss after hurting his quad against the Demons last week while Tom Collier, Jack Redden and Jason Roe have also been left out of the Lions’ 24-man squad.
Vice-Captains Simon Black, Daniel Merrett and ruckman Jamie Charman are the most notable exceptions from the Lions’ team, but all three players are still on target to appear in the Club’s season opener against West Coast at the Gabba on Saturday 28 March.
Meanwhile, Richmond have named a near full-strength side which features the return of Matthew Richardson, Nathan Foley and Ben Cousins to their line-up.
