NORTH MELBOURNE small forward Lindsay Thomas has been dropped from the Kangaroos team that will take on the Western Bulldogs on Sunday.

Thomas has battled the yips in front of goal this season, kicking 17.29 while having an additional 10 shots sail out of bounds on the full.

Over the last two matches, Thomas has failed to register a goal, kicking just three behinds.

Thomas has played in every game this season but has an all-time accuracy rate below 50 per cent, kicking 109.111 over the course of his career.

Coach Brad Scott praised Thomas' attitude and the extra goalkicking work he had put in on the training track, but said Thomas needed to start enjoying his football again.

"We've got to the point now where I've had to make the decision that we're actually hurting Lindsay more by sending him out there to play and he's also not helping the team out there," Scott said.
