THE SYDNEY Swans' revival has continued with an impressive 62-point victory over rivals West Coast Eagles, but Barry Hall took the gloss off the win after being reported for striking.

The 16.11 (107) to 5.15.(45) triumph was the Swans' third win on the trot although it was overshadowed by the report of Hall, who was booked in the first quarter after an incident with Brent Staker.

The Swans led at every break with on-baller Adam Goodes winning a stack of possessions early on, while a spread of scorers was led by goal sneak Michael O'Loughlin, who grabbed four goals. Ted Richards - playing his 50th game for the Swans - was superb in defence.

For the Eagles, midfielder Daniel Kerr was easily outshone while star ruckman Dean Cox looked only half fit after hurting his right foot last week.

However, forward Ben McKinley presented all night and troubled the Swans with four of the Eagles' five goals, while West Coast debutant Matt Spangher did his best to stop O'Loughlin.

Kicking to the southern end on a perfect night for footy in front of almost 45,000 fans, the Swans once again had Paul Roos on the bench and he would've liked what he saw as his side applied the blowtorch on the Eagles.

Luke Brennan was a late replacement for Heath Grundy but it didn't stop the other Swans forwards from getting involved, with Michael O'Loughlin scoring the first goal of the game with a strong mark and goal from directly in front.

A second goal by the Swan magician and Hall's first of the night from just inside the 50m after Chris Masten conceded a free saw the home side jump to a three goal lead.

The Eagles finally got on the scoreboard just before the first quarter siren after a loose ball in the Swans back pocket allowed the talented Ben McKinley to profit as he marked and scored just outside the 50m.

The home side went into the first break 18 points to the good but it was Hall's report that had the fans worried at quarter time.

The in-form Jarrad McVeigh extended the Swans lead with a snap as the Swans continued in the second term where they left off in the first. Goodes began to get on top of Stenglein, who was soon moved to forward Ryan O'Keefe.

In the third term, the Swans swung back into gear immediately with two goals to Darren Jolly and Jude Bolton, as the Eagles looked a beaten side.

By the final term, with the lead blowing out to almost 60 points, the Swans tired somewhat as the Eagles battled on gamely.

Big Ed Barlow's bomb from 50m out on a tight angle reinforced the Swans' ability to share around the goals - and the 'Big Cheese' repeated the dose with a wobbly kick to nail his second minutes later.

The victory has lifted the Swans to a 3-1 record ahead of their toughest test of the season - a road trip to Skilled Stadium for a clash with Geelong on Saturday afternoon.
