GEELONG’S David Wojcinski has earned a nomination for the 2008 AFL Goal of the Year Award for kicking a decisive 40m goal in the third quarter of Saturday’s match against St Kilda.

Wojcinski goaled after receiving a handball from Jimmy Bartel, dodging two Saints players and taking a bounce.

Cats fans can view and vote for their favourite goal at www.afl.com.au/markgoal.  Voting is open from the Monday after each round through to the following Sunday night.

At the end of the 22-round AFL Premiership season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide the overall winner from the 22 weekly winners.

The awards will be the presented during grand final week.
