The declaration of the election poll revealed that board members Eddie McGuire and Mark Korda were re-elected unopposed.
Another feature of the night was the presentation of Life Membership to Brian Taylor, Doug Barwick and Leon Davis.
Earlier this year at the 20-year reunion of the famous 1990 premiership, it was announced that the only two players who played in the club’s 14th premiership who were yet to receive Life Membership - Barwick and Craig Starcevich - would finally do so, along with another integral part of the Magpies’ march to the 1990 flag - Brian Taylor.
Leon Davis, who in round 18 of the 2010 season became the first aboriginal player to reach 200 games with Collingwood, was also presented with Life Membership.
Starcevich is overseas and will be presented with his Life Membership at another time, along with 200-game players Ben Johnson and Josh Fraser, who elected to wait until the end of their AFL playing careers before being presented.
Special Services Awards went were also presented. The first such award was made posthumously to Helen McDonald, who passed away in 2009. Helen had a long history of service and involvement at Collingwood, and was a committee member of the club’s women’s coterie groups for over 30 years.
The second Special Services Award was presented to John Murdoch, who has been a loyal servant and Social Club member for the past 45 years and has played a major role in the growth and success of The Woodsmen.
