The Port Adelaide Football Club has decided to move its post-match functions to AAMI Stadium to make it easier for its members to attend.

Power chief executive John James said the club was moving the traditional event from The Port Club (at Alberton Oval) to AAMI Stadium on the advice of its members.

“Feedback from members told us that it was more convenient for us to hold the post-match function at AAMI Stadium because it’s easier for them to access,” James said.

“We feel this is an exciting move for the club as it will give more members the opportunity to interact with the players and be part of our long-running tradition of post-match functions.”

The new post-match function will be held this Saturday night after the game against Brisbane in the Magarey Room on the SANFL members’ side of AAMI Stadium.

Entry is restricted to the Power's 2008 Platinum Members and Club Members, and access to the Magarey Room is only available via Gate 8, outside the ground.

The room will open at the conclusion of the game and the coach and players will be presented to members about 45 minutes later. The majority of the team who play in the match will attend.

Capacity of the Magarey Room is limited and will be filled on a first in basis.
