YOUNG gun Colin Sylvia has earned a nominationfor Mark of the Year.

Sylvia gave Melbournesupporters something to cheer about late in the fourth quarter on Friday nightwhen he launched himself over Richmond’sJake King to take a spectacular speccie in the half-forward pocket.

In 2007, the winners of the Toyota AFL Markand Goal of the Year awards will each receive:

  • $5000 for their grassrootsClub, also presented by Toyota
  • The use of a Toyota KlugerCV for 12 months
  • A crystal replica of theofficial, perpetual Toyota AFL Mark of the Year and Toyota AFL Goal of the Yeartrophies, presented by the AFL and Toyota
  • The Alex Jesaulenko Medal(mark) and Phil Manassa Medal (goal), presented by Toyota

At the end of the 22-round Toyota AFLPremiership season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide theoverall winner from the 22 weekly winners.

The awards will be the presented during2007 Toyota AFL Grand Final week.
