North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has resisted the calls to promote youngster Ben Cunnington, opting instead for experienced heads to take on the Eagles this weekend at Etihad Stadium.
Aaron Edwards, Leigh Harding and Scott McMahon have all been brought into the side, while Corey Jones, Ben Ross and Matt Campbell are the unlucky omissions.
26 year-old Edwards has had a strong month representing North Ballarat in the VFL. He pulled down 10 marks last week and booted five goals only a fortnight ago to stake his claim for a recall.
Now in his fourth season at the club, the number 27 will be desperate to secure his spot in a forward line missing vice-captain Drew Petrie.
Having been relegated to the VFL following the loss to the Power, Harding and McMahon are the obvious inclusions after strong performances for the Roosters.
Harding racked up 30 possessions in a dominant display against Frankston on Saturday, while McMahon was prominent in defence.
Both Cunnington and Cruize Garlett will have to gain more valuable match practice as the Roosters travel to Coburg.
The Roos will go through their final paces tomorrow morning at Arden Street from 10.30am. Supporters are welcome to attend the light skills session.
