David Zaharakis and Darcy Daniher were particularly good for Bendigo, with the former picking up 30 possessions and kicking seven goals.
Coach Matthew Knights said young guns Leroy Jetta, David Myers, Jay Nash and Michael Quinn will also come into consideration when match committee sits later in the week.
"It's good to see some really strong performances at VFL level, including having [Mark] McVeigh, [Kyle] Reimers, [Andrew] Welsh and [Brent] Prismall out," Knights said on Tuesday.
"I'm really buoyant about where this list is going and we'll keep pushing to develop it, and making sure they reach their maximum as a group.
"That's the most important thing."
McVeigh (ankle) and Reimers (tendonitis) are likely to miss this week and resume playing in round three, while Welsh (ankle) and Prismall (knee) have longer-term injuries.
"McVeigh is getting close but I don't know whether he'll get there this week," Knights said.
"He's nearly becoming a definite for the week after, so that's really positive.
"Reimers is more the round three or four option, but he's also had a good week or two, which is fantastic."
Knights denied forward Scott Lucas picked up an elbow injury in the Bombers' loss to Port Adelaide despite television footage picking up noticeable swelling in the region.
"That was new to me. I was watching the vision on Monday and I saw it for the first time and it looked quite weird and obscure," he said.
"He's got no issues with it, there's hasn't been a medical report on it, so I'm not sure if his elbow is like that full-time. I'll have to quiz him about it later on.
"It's certainly not an injury."
