THE CAREER of Brad Miller might not be over at AFL level despite the forward having played his last game for Melbourne.

Miller was told last month by the Demons that he would not be offered a new contract but there has been interest from other AFL clubs.

Gold Coast, in search of readymade players to complement its young list, is believed to be among those most interested.

And at just 27, Miller is still desperate to continue his AFL career.

“He’s still extremely keen; the hunger still burns for him,” manager Paul Connors told afl.com.au.

After being drafted with pick 55 in the 2001 national draft, Miller played 133 matches for Melbourne.

The key forward declined a farewell match at AFL level late this year, instead opting to finish the season with the Casey Scorpions - Melbourne’s VFL affiliate.

Demons coach Dean Bailey praised the forward for his selfless stand, saying he was “incredibly respected” at Melbourne.

He also said Miller still had plenty to offer at senior level as the Dees looked to continue their path of getting matches into their younger brigade.

“If a club was interested in Brad I'm sure he could provide some great experience to them. That's up to Brad at the moment,” Bailey said.

In his second-last VFL match, Miller booted 10 goals in a dominant display.
