SUMMARY
Both teams are desperate to win for different reasons when they meet on Saturday night.

After a terrific start to the season that had them knocking on the door of the top four, the Swans have gone into free-fall over the past three weeks with losses against Carlton, Collingwood and Adelaide.

They are clinging to seventh spot but a loss against Gold Coast could see them drop out of the eight.

The Suns are now playing their fourth match at Metricon Stadium since its opening and are desperate to break a winless record at the ground after poor kicking for goal cost them last time against the Western Bulldogs.

Gold Coast were competitive against Fremantle last weekend but have returned from a sapping match in the west with a couple of injury concerns (Sam Day, Josh Fraser and Sam Iles).

QUESTION MARKS

Who can stop Gary Ablett? If John Longmire finds a way, other coaches will be bashing down his door because the Brownlow medallist is in white-hot form at the moment. While his team has lost its past seven matches, Ablett has averaged 33 disposals, eight tackles and two goals per match in that period. The Swans' two best taggers Kieren Jack (ankle) and Craig Bird (knee) are both in doubt.

Can the Swans get over their goalkicking yips? Four weeks ago they got away with kicking 9.21 in defeating Richmond, but the Swans' poor kicking in front of goal finally caught up with them against Adelaide on Saturday night, kicking a miserable 6.14 in a seven-point loss. Easy misses by Ryan O'Keefe and Andrejs Everitt came back to bite them, and they would not want to tempt fate this week with similar inaccuracy.

PREDICTION

Sydney Swans by 18 points

TOYOTA AFL DREAM TEAM WATCH

The value of Gold Coast's Trent 'Cannon' McKenzie continues to skyrocket after another huge match against Fremantle on Saturday. McKenzie racked up 122 points to take his value to $285,200 - up $187,000 from his starting price. While a number of his teammates (Adam Goodes, Daniel Hannebery and Ben McGlynn) have plummeted in price, hard-working midfielder Josh Kennedy has soared. Kennedy averages 84 points per game and his price has risen more than $35,000 to $341,600.
