On Saturday, August 5, the celebrations of the West Coast Eagles’ 20th season in the competition will culminate in the unveiling of Team 20 – the greatest players to have represented the club in that time.

For the selection committee, narrowing it down to just 22 players will be an onerous task and is sure to create much debate with so many players pressing worthy claims.

And you can put yourself in the hot seat, naming what you think will be Team 20 in a competition with a fantastic prize.

That prize will be two tickets to the 20 year gala ball, the black-tie function at which Team 20 will be named, along with a West Coast Eagles guernsey signed by the members of Team 20.

As a starting point, perhaps consider the efforts of the following players:

Jason Ball, Drew Banfield, Michael Braun, Michael Brennan, Ben Cousins, Dean Cox, Andrew Embley, Tony Evans, Chad Fletcher, Michael Gardiner, Fraser Gehrig, Darren Glass, Ross Glendinning, David Hart, Brett Heady, Adam Hunter, Glen Jakovich, Rowan Jones, Chris Judd, Dean Kemp, Daniel Kerr, Dwayne Lamb, Karl Langdon, Chris Lewis, Chris Mainwaring, Peter Matera, Phillip Matera, Ashley McIntosh, Guy McKenna, Daniel Metropolis, Chad Morrison, Don Pyke, Peter Sumich, Craig Turley, Ryan Turnbull, Chris Waterman, Mitchell White, Peter Wilson, David Wirrpanda and John Worsfold.

Names should be entered into the field positions shown below with the winner determined on ‘best effort’. Team 20 cannot be officially confirmed until the gala evening. Entrants should consider their availability on the evening of August 5 in the event they are successful.

The competition closes on Friday, July 28.

Good luck and thank you for entering!
