Lions Captain Jonathan Brown and his team-mates are looking forward to inviting all Club members and supporters to the Gabba Open Day this Saturday 14 March between 10am – 12 noon.

The Lions players will participate in junior football clinics, sign autographs and even conduct FREE tours of their facilities for the first time at the major Club event.

Speaking before Lions training on Tuesday afternoon, Brown said that the event will provide a great opportunity for Lions fans to experience the Club’s ‘inner sanctum’.

“From a fans perspective, you always wonder what goes on behind closed doors and what goes on in the rooms pre-game,” Brown said.

“Now everyone has the chance to get amongst it and see what the boys go through on game-day and the facilities we train in.”

“Obviously, they’ll get to see the players as well,” he said.

“It’s a pretty unique experience and one that clubs quite often try to keep under wraps.”

“So it’s a good chance for the fans to get down to the Gabba because we need all the support we can get.”
