Swans big man Shane Mumford and spearhead Daniel Bradshaw were among a group of players who traded in their training singlet for an apron, to test their culinary skills at MasterChef Live, Australia’s Festival Cooking, across the weekend.
Mumford took on teammate Nick Smith on Friday afternoon in the Superstars Cupcake Challenge, with the two players pitted against each other in a bid to create the most decorative cupcake.
Mumford, who was more inclined to eat the cupcakes than decorate them, was a hit with the young audience with his elaborate designs.
On Sunday morning Daniel Bradshaw lined up against defender Marty Mattner in the Superstars stick-mixer challenge, with Bradshaw claiming the honours.
“I must admit, I was a bit nervous in the lead-up as I don’t really know how to cook!”
“Thankfully, cooking skills were not essential and I managed to get over the line against Marty with my blended concoction,” he said.
Ruckman Mike Pyke and young gun Campbell Heath rounded out proceedings on Sunday afternoon, going head to head in the cupcake challenge.
