It’s here!

The 2008 Power Guernsey Competition is open for the month of May.

This is the competition where you design a Power guernsey of your choice.  The winning design, as selected by Power players and staff, will be manufactured by Reebok and worn by the Power when they play Melbourne on August 23rd.

This competition was launched last year and the winner was Troy Andrews from Waikerie PS.  Troy received recognition on the front page of the Advertiser, was interviewed on radio and his design featured on television. Check out the picture of what he designed.

 Troy’s prize included:

A guernsey for him and his classmates (up to 30);
A signed guernsey and class photo for the school;
A trip to Adelaide for Troy, his classmates, teachers and families, to attend a Power game;
Troy and his classmates completed a lap of honour before the game, wearing his design;
Troy and his classmates also visited the Power change-rooms before the game.

The same prize package is available for 2008.  You could complete a lap of honour at Power v Melbourne on August 23rd.  This is a great opportunity to combine Art and Footy – start thinking about your own unique design.

The official entry form is available here.  Please use this form to enter the competition.
Entries must be received by May 30th so that Reebok can produce the winning design.
