With North Melbourne's finals hopes snuffed out, the last round of the home and away season could provide an opportunity for pushing their case in the VFL.

The Roosters' 22-point win on Saturday further strengthened their case as a genuine premiership contender and they could thank the Kangaroos' contingent for some stand-out performances.

A senior recall looks imminent for 2010 draftee Shaun Atley after 25 possessions and four clearances in the win. Atley last played in round 20, but it’s been an even longer spell in the two's for Daniel Pratt, despite a string of best on ground performances.

The North Melbourne veteran had 21 touches and was a pillar in defense with five spoils to make a final push for selection.

Brayden Norris has toiled hard for nearly two years on the senior list and has been close to a debut on several occasions but hasn’t cracked it yet. With a number of good games in succession, he is an outside chance to don the royal blue and white for the first time. With 22 possessions and four marks to his name, Norris' run could be vital against Richmond.

On the other side of the ledger, Hamish McIntosh was again impressive for the Tigers amassing more than 20 disposals, eight marks and countless hit-outs against a strong opponent in Orren Stephenson.

Given he came under strong consideration for a call-up last week, the big-man looks every chance to play his first match for the year.

Jamie Macmillan could also be in the mix after his 23-possession effort down back while Ben Warren worked hard for his 20 disposals and hit the ball hard on the lead pushing up to the wing. Ben Ross is another who should get a look in after spending the weekend as an emergency for the AFL.
