Maybe you’ve always wanted to know what an AFL footballer eats for breakfast, or what JK gets up to on his day off.
The only way to find out is by emailing Josh now!
Here are Josh's answers to this week's top questions:
Josh, Firstly mate you and the boys have saved my TV from certain death with the way all have stood up this year. Mate my question is: why can’t the team structure hold a full-time tall full-forward. We have some young blokes ready to put their hand up. To me, it gives you an edge if your forward takes up the best defender from the opposition. Most other sides are benefiting a great deal from having a forward even when not scoring this free the rest of the boys up to get on with it. Regards, Peter Leonard
Hey Peter,
It's been hard because Lynchy has been called on for ruck duties and he hasn't had a chance to stay deep, but on the weekend with him staying inside 50 he was able to hold on to a few! Lynchy had a great first half and with him holding that full-forward position, he will be hard to stop. Callum Wilson is a true full-forward and once he gets his chance, and holds his spot, he will kick 50 plus I reckon.
Hey Josh,
Long time fan. I'm 14 and I have been supporting West Coast since I was two. I play in under fifteens in Albany W.A. I want to ask you for some health tips and how I can get fitter. Hope you can answer my question. #1 fan, Hayden Johnson, Albany W.A.
Hayden,
Diet is the key to a healthy lifestyle; being able to control what you eat and to hold out on eating junk food helps dramatically with your fitness. Sticking to low fat foods, high protein and high carb foods the day before or the day of a big fitness session to give you energy is the plan I follow. It's good to have a balance, eating stuff like Hungry Jack’s is ok but only on occasions! Getting fitter will come from extra work you do. Obviously training for footy is a fitness session, but an extra run here, swim or bike there will help your fitness and soon you will be out-running everyone!
Hi Josh, are you currently carrying an injury? Reason for the question as you dont seem to be as mobile as you have been in the past two years. Margo
I’m feeling fine Margo! There are always a few knocks here and there, but everyone carries them. Hopefully I can prove I'm as mobile over the next few weeks for you!
Hey Josh, I was wondering, as Wikipedia says, 'Kennedy had a hard decision to make over whether to play basketball or AFL ...', do you ever wish you had have picked basketball? From Steph
Hey Steph,
I'm not sure where that came from! My old man played NBL back in the day, but for me I just enjoyed playing with my mates back home. I came down for country week a few times but never went any further than that! I just really enjoyed having fun with my mates.
Hey Josh,
Could you please tell me some good skills drills which you do at West Coast training. I was hoping to use some of the drills for footy training at my junior footy club. Thanks, Paul Clarke (watcher of Eagle Vision)
G'day Paul,
The skills drills that I like are the ones where there is a decision to make. If you had two leading players and one defender, the person with the ball looks up and sees two people leading mean, while the defender chooses one leading player, the kicker then has to recognise that and hopefully when he kicks he hits the open player. It has a skill component to it as well as decision making. Hope this helps!
