Collingwood Football Club surgeon Julian Feller confirmed on Monday that second-year player Brad Dick will have knee surgery later in the week and miss the 2008 season.
Dick ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during an incident in the second quarter of Saturday's regional challenge loss to West Coast in Albany.
The 19-year-old played six games in an extremely promising debut season last year as a midfielder/forward after being drafted from East Fremantle with the 44th overall pick in the 2006 draft.
