PORT Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps is on the mend after collapsing on the weekend, with the club advising he has been taken out of intensive care.
Cripps was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital on Saturday after collapsing during a morning run, and was placed in an induced coma over the weekend.
Signs were positive when the Power confirmed the 38-year-old had been successfully brought out of the coma, and on Wednesday the club said he had been moved from ICU to the Coronary Care Unit.
"Jason is now walking, talking and eating and will remain in hospital for further tests and monitoring," the club statement said.
The former St Kilda player was helped at the scene on Saturday by Port Adelaide staff and several recruiting officials from another club, who were on the same running track.
Two doctors who also happened to be in the vicinity helped Cripps before the ambulance arrived.
He was in Perth to watch the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, where Vic Metro played Western Australia at Domain Stadium.
Cripps became Port's list manager at the end of 2011 having been an assistant coach at the club under Mark Williams.
