Green won the award with 295 votes, ahead of defender James Frawley (277) and ruckman Mark Jamar (231). This trio was also named in this year’s All-Australian squad.
Rounding out the top five was last year’s winner Aaron Davey (194), and the versatile Colin Sylvia (170).
Frawley received the Sid Anderson Memorial Trophy, Jamar (Ron Barassi Snr Memorial Trophy), Davey (Ivor Warne-Smith Memorial Trophy) and Sylvia (Dick Taylor Memorial Trophy).
Green also won the Leadership Award (Ron Barassi Jnr Trophy), and the Heart and Soul Award.
The 29 year-old was outstanding this season, switching between wing and forward.
He booted a career-best 55 goals to finish sixth on the goalkicking table.
Green kicked 10 bags of three or more, and on three occasions booted five goals - all personal bests.
He also took 153 marks - sixth in the AFL.
Green also averaged 19.27 disposals per match, with 12 producing 20 or more disposals in each game.
Frawley took his game to another level in 2010, finishing third in the AFL for rebound 50s (102).
His ability to stymie opponents and provide run out of defence was a highlight of his game.
Jamar also produced his best AFL season to date, winning 643 hit outs - second only to Fremantle’s Aaron Sandilands.
His previous best was 261 hit outs in 2008.
Colin Sylvia claimed the Ian Ridley Memorial Trophy (Club Ambassador) and Jordie McKenzie took the Norm Smith Memorial Trophy (Coach’s Award).
Tom Scully received the Harold Ball Memorial Trophy as Best First Year Player.
And Brad Miller won the Troy Broadbridge Memorial Trophy for the Melbourne player who polled the most votes in the Casey Scorpions best and fairest award.
Coach Dean Bailey and assistants Josh Mahoney, Sean Wellman, Scott West and Mark Williams all voted on the Best and Fairest.
Under a different format this year, the group came together to vote on each player every round.
