BRISBANE is deliberating over whether to take an unchanged line-up into Saturday night's preliminary final against Geelong or inject hulking midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen. 

Ellis-Yolmen has played eight games after joining the Lions from Adelaide as a free agent last off-season but was not part of the qualifying final win over Richmond.

However, after being beaten around the contest by the Cats when the teams met earlier in the season, Brisbane coach Chris Fagan said Ellis-Yolmen's inclusion was being debated. 

"It's really hard to change the team that performed so well a couple of weeks ago, but there are some things we have to take into consideration," Fagan said on Friday morning.

"We had a few of our guys that night that didn't play to their capacity either and we think they've improved since then.

"That discussion about Cam is a realistic discussion, but there's a few others that are also important."

When Geelong won by 27 points at the SCG in round six, it won the clearance count by seven and contested possession by 20 – two components the Lions pride themselves on. 

Unsurprisingly it was Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood that did most of the damage. 

Fagan said although his team was far less experienced at this time of the season, they had no fear about taking on the Cats.

"Experience is a wonderful thing, there's no doubt about that, but I can't go and give our guys an injection of that," he said. 

"The thing you can't get caught up in is the result, the prize at the end of it, you've got to focus on every minute of the game and doing the right things.

"That's pretty much how you have to play preliminary finals, you have to fight to the death. 

"Most of them are close games. 

"If you start thinking about other things, I reckon that you probably play with a little more fear, we want to be fearless tomorrow so we'll just focus on the process."
