To launch the club’s 25th year celebrations, the West Coast Eagles put the call out to members and supporters across the country to send in a photo or video capturing their love for the blue and gold.

The competition offers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for dedicated fans to win the chance to feature in the club’s TV commercial for season 2011, which will celebrate the Eagles 25th year in the competition. The lucky winners will also receive a signed guernsey and the chance to meet their favourite player.

Crowd favourites Dean Cox and Daniel Kerr were called upon to pour over the hundreds of entries received and make the all-important decision. After a few minor arguments, settled over a heated match of rock-paper-scissors, the boys selected five diehard West Coast fans who have gone above and beyond in displaying their passion for our football club.

Shane Vudrag submitted a photo depicting his very permanent devotion to the Eagles.

“I am a devoted one-eyed Eagle supporter through thick and thin, and as you can see my tattoos on my forearms have entitled me to a life membership to this awesome club! I have the biggest Eagles collection I’ve seen, from signed memorabilia, to clothes, to two brainwashed daughters that also bleed blue and yellow. It would be a great experience and one I would never forget so I hope you pick me.”

Judy Meney and a very brave friend bared all in a bid to prove their passion for West Coast. While this picture is being kept under lock and key, we can share this photo which was taken after watching the 1992 grand final.

“We made our own calendar as a gift for a friend, and the month of April was dedicated to the Eagles of course! It shows our Eagles commitment when we are prepared to go public for the first time.”

Bede Hegarty risked the eternal wrath of his wife when he set off for his honeymoon and took the Eagles along for the ride.

“In November 2006, I honeymooned in the USA for six weeks. I made sure I wore my Eagles jumper at all the major attractions. My first memory of being a diehard supporter was collecting all the players’ pictures out of the Sunday Times TV Week magazine and sticking them on my bedroom wall, around 1991.”

Jayde Cossington dedicated the most important day of her life to the most important thing in her life: the West Coast Eagles.

“Life without the West Coast Eagles would simply be non-existent! My life completely revolves around this fabulous club. My wedding was blue and yellow themed, my car is completely decked out, and my house is an Eagles nest of paraphernalia! I am as passionate, loyal and fanatical as they come!”

Stephanie Greco welcomed us into her home and, with the help of friend Brittany Adams, created a detailed video of her incredible shrine to our club.

“I have been an Eagles supporter almost my whole life and I would love the chance to share with the rest of Australia why it's such an incredible thing being an Eagles supporter for a lifetime.”

As West Coast prepares to reflect back on an incredible 25 years, the club would like to thank all members and supporters who entered this competition for sharing their favourite Eagles memories from over the journey.

Stay tuned to westcoasteagles.com.au and Channel 7 in March when we’ll reveal the new commercial, starring our no.1 fans.
