Sunday 24 February is Registration Day for junior football around Western Australia and is the best way to start your journey towards becoming the next Matthew Pavlich, Josh Carr or Rhys Palmer. So why not get down and sign up at your local club before heading home to watch Fremantle tackle Adelaide on Sunday afternoon!
Tens of thousands of young footballers will take to the field this year where they can have fun, get fit, learn about teamwork, friendship and team pride.
Children new to the sport can log onto wafootball.com.au to find out more. A specially-designed club locator will let them know where they can find their local club.
Last year there were almost 60,000 registered junior footballers in WA (not including school participants) and that number is only expected to grow in 2008 given all the work put in by WAFL clubs, community clubs and development staff employed by the West Australian Football Commission.
