St Kilda Football Club is thrilled to announce that Club record games holder Robert Harvey is returning to the Saints.

Recognised as one of the league's best midfielders in the AFL’s history, Harvey played 383 games for the Saints (from 1988 - 2008) and will commence as midfield coach for the start of the 2011 pre season.

St Kilda CEO Michael Nettlefold said, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Robert Harvey back to St Kilda. He had a remarkable career with the Saints, which spanned an incredible 20 years.”

Senior Coach Ross Lyon said; “Working with Robert over his last two years at the Club, I was able to understand and appreciate his dedication and passion for the Saints.”

“For the playing group, it will be exciting for them to welcome Robert back and we all look forward to working with him for a number of years to come.”

“He has a string of playing accolades including consecutive Brownlow medals (1997-1998), All Australian selection and multiple Best and Fairest Awards. With a brilliant football mind and coaching experience, Robert is sure to add a great amount of depth to our coaching department next year.
