Recently retired champion Darren Milburn has accepted a position at the Adelaide Crows, where he will work as defensive coach.
Milburn retired after playing 292 games with the Cats, and he was a key contributor to the 2007 and 2009 grand final wins. He was emergency for this year’s grand final decider after playing 14 games in 2011.
“I have played with and coached Darren for many years now,” Crows coach Brenton Sanderson told the club’s website.
“He has a great football brain and will be able to pass on a lot of this knowledge to our young backline players. I am very pleased to be able to continue our strong relationship.”
