NEW COACH Michael Voss is already ringing the changes at the Brisbane Lions, with club stalwart Marcus Ashcroft and Hawthorn premiership player Paul Hudson getting their marching orders.

Ashcroft, a 318-game veteran and three-time premiership player, was the club's football operations manager, but a promotion for former Collingwood football manager Graeme (Gubby) Allan has meant that role has been axed.

Allan, the Lions' football manager – head of recruiting/list manager, will assume the new role of head of the football department.

Hudson worked with the team's forward division and coached the Suncoast Lions reserves as part of his responsibilities on the match committee and coaching panel. He was previously coach of Gippsland Power in Victoria's TAC Cup.
