The Gold Coast SUNS are on the journey to become the most exciting sporting organisation in Australia. After a fantastic debut into the AFL and launching Metricon Stadium to the Gold Coast community, the GC SUNS are keen to keep the momentum going and make 2012 just as successful as their first year.

We are searching for an exceptionally talented Management Accountant to join the team as we grow our finance department.

Reporting directly to the CFO, your responsibilities will include; the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and Board reports, assisting in the annual budget and quarterly forecast process,  the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and the completion of the BAS and associated GST reconciliations. You will also assist in the coordination of the day to day operational accounting functions, and complete project work on system and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have:

·        a strong personal brand which personifies the GC SUNS values;

·        a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within a medium sized organisation;

·        a tertiary qualification in Accounting and are CPA/CA qualified or near completion;

·        strong analytical skills including variance analysis and commentary;

·        the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organisation;

·        a demonstrated understanding of the commercial aspects of the finance function;

·        strong accounting system skills including integration of systems; and

·        the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a growing and changing environment.
