The Crows, who have now won six of their past seven matches, led at every change, running out winners 9.12.66 to 8.7.55.
Adelaide vice-captain Ben Hart was superb against Geelong captain Ben Graham, keeping him to just two goals, both in the second half, and running off him consistently when the ball hit the ground.
Darren Jarman also picked up plenty of kicks off the half-back line and teamed with Matthew Robran to set up many of the Crows' attacking thrusts.
Matthew Clarke did well against Steven King in the ruck, winning a large proportion of the hit-outs, although neither player had much of an influence in general play in the first half.
Adelaide had the edge in the midfield, with form running players Andrew McLeod, Simon Goodwin and Tyson Edwards all making solid contributions.
Brett Burton was effective for the Crows around the midfield and half-forward, taking 12 marks for the match.
For Geelong, David Spriggs did well around the centre clearances, while Justin Murphy gathered plenty of touches and Brenton Sanderson was good in defence.
Adam Houlihan gathered a lot of touches at half-forward, but was beaten by direct opponent Jarman, who had slightly more possessions and was more damaging.
