Geelong supporters have voted Paul Chapman as the Cats best in the round seven clash with West Coast in the gfc.com.au player of the year award. The vote marks Chapman’s second best on ground performance of the season, having also earned maximum votes in round one.

Chapman was outstanding against the Eagles, giving the Cats great drive from midfield. Cameron Ling picked up two votes with another excellent performance, while second year defender Jarad Rooke picked up one vote. Gary Ablett leads voting, one point ahead of midfielder Joel Corey.

Geelong supporters are asked to vote on-line each week for the club’s best players. Voting is open for the round eight match against Sydney.
