North Melbourne's season comes to an end this weekend against Port Adelaide, and with new coach Brad Scott about to take charge at Arden Street, there's plenty of pressure on players hoping to stay on the list in 2010.

Darren Crocker made six changes against St Kilda with great effect but with one week remaining and only pride on the line for the Kangaroos, will he do the same again?

There's plenty of talent waiting in the wings for Crocker to choose from. Big wins to both North Ballarat and Werribee in the VFL has opened the door for several players who may have looked on the outer in recent weeks.

Corey Jones was one of the stars for the Roosters as they climbed to top spot with a convincing win. Five goals from the experienced forward puts him right in the mix for a recall, while Lindsay Thomas also has to be a chance to return after racking up 32 possessions and kicking three goals.

Midfielder Sam Power has only missed four games this season, and a strong performance in a tagging role on Peter Burgoyne in Round 7 could see the former Bulldog called upon for Saturday night's clash. He picked up 27 possessions and kicked two goals for North Ballarat on Sunday.

Gavin Urquhart was dropped after a quiet display against West Coast, but with the Kangaroos looking to promote youth, the number 14 could get a recall after grabbing 18 possessions and two goals against Bendigo.

Fellow defender Daniel Pratt will be hoping to finish an inconsistent season on a high. The 26 year-old will be dissapointed with a year riddled with injuries and inconsistency. 22 possessions on the weekend should help his chances to redeem himself.

Second round draft pick Sam Wright has not played since Round 11 when a knee injury prematurely ended a promising run of form. With two months of football at VFL level and another solid performance for Werribee in its win on the weekend, Wright could be set to add to his career game tally of four games.

In his fourth year on the list Matt Riggio will be desperate to break into the North Melbourne team. Only four weeks ago the 2007 debutant was playing for Werribee's reserves, but several solid games for the Tigers in their form revival sees the 21 year-old right back in the mix. Werribee team-mate Daniel Harris will also be in contention after racking up 31 possessions and seven tackles in the Tigers big win.

The North Melbourne selectors sprung a surprise last week when they promoted Alan Obst from the rookie list, and there's every chance there could be another debut this week. Michael Wundke has consistently kicked goals for North Ballarat over the past two seasons and has been unlucky not to debut so far this year, while 2008 draftee Nathan O'Keefe burst onto the scene at Werribee last week with four goals as a leading forward.
