Star Cat Tom Hawkins cleared of jumper-punch on Hawk Ben Stratton
Star Cats forward among four players cleared from first week of finals
TOM HAWKINS is free to play in Geelong's semi-final against North Melbourne on Friday night after his jumper-punch on Hawthorn's Ben Stratton was deemed not forceful enough to warrant a report.
Roos midfielder Levi Greenwood is also free to line up in the match after the match-day report laid against him for rough conduct on Essendon's Mark Baguley was thrown out.
The Match Review Panel did not hand down a single penalty after scrutinising the opening weekend of the finals.
The only other incidents to attract the MRP's attention were the high bump laid by Fremantle's Zac Dawson on Sydney Swans star Lance Franklin and the bump that Freo ruckman Aaron Sandilands laid on Swans midfielder Luke Parker.
In both cases the panel decided that the "force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence".
