North Melbourne has smashed another membership record with 15,000 members signing up before Christmas. It’s the first time in the club’s history to reach the milestone in such a short amount of time.

Senior Coach Brad Scott told kangaroos.com.au he and the players have been blown away by the amount of support.

“I’m told we’re more than 2,000 members ahead of last year which is fantastic,” Scott said.

“It is really encouraging to have so many people on board at this early stage. The players are working extremely hard on the track and we’re committed to rewarding our members for their support.

“2012 is gearing up to be a massive season and we have a lot to look forward to and we are very grateful to have so many good North Melbourne with us already.

With two home games in Hobart from next year, the Kangaroos have almost 1,500 Tasmanians joining the club, with many reserving their own seats at Blundstone Arena.

“We can’t wait to get down to Hobart and as I’ve said previously, we aren’t there to just play games, we’ll also be aiming to engage the community so they feel part of this great club.”

The North Melbourne membership department will be open until the 23rd of December with packages to suit everyone. Become a Troo Roo for Life for the easiest and most affordable way to be a member in 2012.
