Carlton has recalled Sam Jacobs to the senior team for Sunday’s blockbuster clash at the MCG against Collingwood.

It will be Jacob’s first senior game for 2010 and has been included following a number of outstanding performances for the Blues VFL affiliate the Northern Bullants. He replaces fellow ruckman Robert Warnock in the team.

Joining Jacobs in the 22 for Sunday’s match is Paul Bower. Bower’s return will strengthen the Blues backline.

Bower has missed a month of football with a leg injury and is a certain starter for the match.

Bower will replace Andrew Walker, who had surgery this week to repair a fractured collarbone. He is expected to miss up to six week.
