Named as one of the wild cards for the ‘All Stars’ side in the recent Ted Whitten Legends game, radio personality Hamish Blake has also proved something of a wild card for the Melbourne Football Club’s regeneration.  His membership signing, encouraged by new President, Jim Stynes, led the way for the flood of sales that saw the Club come to within sight of 30,000 members by the time official numbers were announced at the end of June.

One half of the ‘Hamish and Andy’ show, airing between 4 and 6 pm weekdays on Fox FM, Blake will be the guest speaker in the Club’s President’s Luncheon when Melbourne takes on North Melbourne in Round 17.  In what should be an interesting and entertaining encounter, Hamish will be sharing the stage with Chris Connolly.  Victorian coach in the Legends Game, Connolly was on the wrong side of the scoreboard, as the All Stars outfit triumphed by two points, with a substantial contribution, needless to say, from one H Blake!
