HAWTHORN faces a trip to Subiaco Oval on Sunday without Luke Hodge, after the midfielder was offered a one-match ban for striking on Monday.

The match review panel charged Hodge with striking Brett Deledio during Sunday’s loss to Richmond at the MCG.

Hodge’s poor tribunal record and carry-over points from within the last year mean that he cannot reduce the penalty with an early guilty plea.

In other tribunal news, Port Adelaide’s Shaun Burgoyne will be free to play against Melbourne next week if he accepts a reprimand for rough conduct against Collingwood’s Shane O’Bree.

Carlton’s Simon Wiggins is in a similar boat, having been offered a reprimand for charging North Melbourne’s Leigh Harding.

Port Adelaide’s Justin Westhoff and Collingwood’s Nick Maxwell were offered $900 fines for wrestling each other at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

The matchday report against Richmond’s Troy Simmonds was thrown out.
