Greg Broughton - 7
Outstanding in his first AFL final after playing in three WAFL premierships with Subiaco. Controlled play across half-back.

Jesse Crichton - 1
Replaced popular veteran Paul Hasleby in the line-up and didn’t prove his worth with just four possessions.

Ryan Crowley - 7
Superb job on return from a knee injury after one game back in the WAFL last week. Ran with Clinton Young and kept him quiet.

Matt de Boer - 4
Put on plenty of pressure in the forward line but did little outside of that.

Paul Duffield - 6
Provided plenty of run and drive from defence for Fremantle to finish with 21 mostly quality possessions.

Nat Fyfe - 8
Tremendous game from the exciting first-year forward. While he didn’t kick a goal, he had a real presence up the ground with 22 possessions and nine marks.

Antoni Grover - 6
Had a good battle with Jarryd Roughead at full-back with honours ending up about even.

Roger Hayden - 6
Made some uncharacteristic mistakes both in decision-making and with his disposal, but still made a good contribution to the win.

Stephen Hill - 7
Terrific performance on the ball virtually the whole day. Shook off Chance Bateman's tag and contributed quality run and carry to finish with 22 possessions and a goal.

Garrick Ibbotson - 5
Didn't put on his best performance as he struggled with the increased tempo of finals footy, but was far from terrible with 16 disposals.

Michael Johnson - 6
Had more responsibility with Aaron Sandilands unable to ruck for the second half. Put in a solid performance as the makeshift ruckman.

Chris Mayne - 5

Kicked two goals and applied plenty of pressure in the forward line, but couldn’t find enough of the ball.

Luke McPharlin - 9
Looked shaky early but hit back to put in a dominant display up against Lance Franklin. The star Hawks' forward had next to no impact on the game and McPharlin went close to best on ground honours.

Adam McPhee - 9
Was Luke McPharlin's main rival for best on ground as he towelled up battling Hawks star Luke Hodge. Was instrumental himself, with 19 disposals and a goal.

Anthony Morabito - 6
The first year player was solid as he handled the pressure of a first AFL final to pick up 17 disposals and kick a memorable running goal in the first quarter.

David Mundy - 8
Helped set up Fremantle's win with an outstanding first three quarters. The dominant midfielder on the ground, he finished with 25 touches.

Matthew Pavlich - 7
Josh Gibson did a good job on the Fremantle skipper but Pav still showed his quality to contribute to the win with three goals.

Dylan Roberton - 4
Wasn't the worst performer on the day by any stretch of the imagination but didn’t have any great contribution either.

Aaron Sandilands - 5
Hurt his knee in a ruck contest early on and didn’t go onto the ball in the second half as he continued to struggle. Stayed out there and worked hard still, but is now Freo's main concern for next week.

Alex Silvagni - 7
Returned to the team for the first time in six weeks and did well in whatever role he played, which included time in the ruck in the second half.

Nick Suban - 2
The hard-at-it second-year player couldn’t get near the ball for most of the day and had just seven disposals.

Michael Walters - 5
Has bobbed up late in the season to provide plenty of life to the forward line. Kicked a goal and made four tackles, and is proving a handy replacement for Hayden Ballantyne.
