Jack Ziebell produced arguably the best game of his short career against the Power and his efforts certainly didn't go unnoticed.

The former first-round pick was the best player on the ground according to Brad Scott and Matthew Primus and lead the charge of six North Melbourne players to poll votes on the day.

20 year-old Ziebell has had his fair share of bad luck since debuting in 2009, but has been one of several shining lights in the Kangaroos' streak of four wins in a row.

On Sunday he picked up 27 possessions, a career high, and kicked a great running goal along the way.

Daniel Wells continued his mid-season surge with another strong performance, and his seven votes helped him to outright second place in the AFLCA Player of the Year behind Carlton's Marc Murphy.

Drew Petrie was considered by many as the most influential man on the ground and his nine contested marks went close to breaking the record held by Wayne Carey. The vice-captain received five votes, while Todd Goldstein, Brent Harvey and Levi Greenwood were also considered among the best.
