Collingwood's football department held an early morning touch and recovery session down at the St Kilda Sea Baths on Wednesday.

The majority of the playing group was in attendance for the 90 minute session.

The touch workout was led by the assistant coaches working with their divisional groups in the nearby park.

From there the club's sports science director David Buttifant instructed the players in a hydro session working between the warm spas and the cold ocean.  A select group of Magpies had to swim 200 metres out from shore and back before warming up inside the St Kilda Sea Baths facilities.

The morning closed with skipper Nick Maxwell addressing the media ahead of his 150th match.
