ADELAIDE great Mark Ricciuto has given the strongest indication yet that he will not coach next season.
Ricciuto, who retired at the end of 2007 after 312 games with the Crows, was previously linked to an assistant coach's position with the West Coast Eagles.
The position was accepted by Michael Voss in July, who then vacated it last Tuesday when named as the senior coach of the Brisbane Lions after Leigh Matthews resigned.
But the Brownlow Medallist said he was enjoying his time away from football and wasn’t ready for a potential return to the game in a full-time capacity.
"Not at this stage," Ricciuto said on Wednesday.
"I haven’t really had a break because it’s still been a pretty busy year off the field.
"I’m heading to Italy in October for a two-month holiday-honeymoon, so that will be a good trip.
"Sarah and I got married back in January, so I have to get the honeymoon out the way or I’ll be in trouble.
"But I’ll also use that time away to try and freshen up and see if I want to get back involved at the coalface in the next couple of years."
This year, Ricciuto has held various media commitments and also represented Waikere Football Club.
