Inside midfielder Adam Thomson and key defender Troy Chaplin are on the injured list but should be OK to face the Saints on Saturday night.

Power head fitness coach Dan Comerford gave this injury update exclusively for PortAdelaideFC.com.au…

Troy Chaplin suffered a minor concussion yesterday. He tried to keep playing but didn’t feel great so we took him off. He’ll be assessed when we get back to Adelaide but he’s already improved a lot which is encouraging.

Adam Thomson got a corky to his upper arm during the last quarter of the game. It’s obviously been pretty sore for him. He’s been icing it. As it is currently less than 24 hours since the game it’s a bit hard to make a call on it for this week, so he’s listed as a ‘test’.

Michael Wilson continues to do more and more work which is encouraging.

Matt Thomas, who tore ligaments in his foot against Brisbane, started on crutches but he’s back on his feet now and has been walking a lot. He’ll start to jog this week, and we expect him to be about four weeks away.

The Power’s official injury list for the week beginning Monday 21st April is as follows…

Troy Chaplin, minor concussion (Round 5) – test
Matt Thomas, plantar fascia tear (Round 4) – 4 weeks
Adam Thomson, bruised arm (Round 5) – test
Michael Wilson, achilles (Prelim Final 07) – ongoing assessment
