MARK WILLIAMS: Probably four or five of our players aren’t playing well at the moment. We couldn’t slow down the tempo of their play. Looking back on it we should have done that so we’ll look to try to make that never happen again. It was very much a learning game for us all.---No offence to W.Tredrea, but do you think it would be worth sending him back to port magpies to get his fitness up, and giving someone like Whestoff a chance to help out the forward line?

MARK WILLIAMS: Justin Westhoff has been playing well, we’ve been watching him for some time now. He’s been training with the main group and he’s not too far away from selection. Tredders is battling through it. He’s giving his all for what he can. We’ll monitor him closely over the next few weeks.
---The first half against Geelong was weak, soft, unaccountable footy! How does Choco turn the guys around?

MARK WILLIAMS: Well you can certainly change players. We’ll spend some time on the track working on a couple of things we didn’t do well. Also we’ll be focusing on playing Hawthorn who are in terrific form. We’ve got to get our best players back believing in themselves and taking risks and taking on the opposition.---Hi Chocco. Just got back from Arctic Stadium, gotta face work tomorrow, need a lift. I know you’re a positive person ... help me out!
Marcus
MARK WILLIAMS: Well we honestly did take some positives. I thought that Jacob Surjan’s form was good, Kane Cornes battled and continued to run all night. I thought being ten goals down against a side that has won by 30 goals already once this year, it was nice to think we could arrest some of the damage at half time and win the second half. So for a side that is looking to be better than where we were last year that was a real positive for us because last year at those sort of times we’d lose by 100 points. It was a pleasing second half but certainly really disappointed with the first.---CHOCO’S PLAYER OF THE DAY: Kane CornesMARK WILLIAMS: Kane played first on (James) Bartel and then on (Joel) Corey. He kept racking up lots and lots of possessions, he caused turnovers in their backline, and he persisted all night which is terrific and a great example to everyone else. You can win a $29 PrePay recharge voucher and $9.95 starter pack thanks to Vodafone, as well as a $50 Power Gear Shop voucher by predicting Choco’s player of the day.
