The onballer's management has canvassed approaches from a number of clubs, but speaking to AFL.com.au from Korea on Saturday morning Moloney's agent Bruce Kaider said it was too early to declare his client the League's 'first free agent'.
"From our point of view no decision has been made. Melbourne Football Club made it pretty clear a few weeks back they were going to hold off talks until the end of the season," Kaider said.
Kaider said the decision was as much about Brent as it was about the club.
"He needs to sit down and work out what he wants to do with his football career moving forward, and I think that sometimes gets lost."
Moloney trained with the VFL side on Friday night.
"He's playing, he was at training last night, I spoke to him, as far as I know he’s playing," Casey football operations manager Matt Young told AFL.com.au.
But the qualifying final against Werribee at Casey Fields will be Moloney's last outing with the Demons VFL affiliate.
"He hasn't played enough (in the VFL) to qualify for second week of finals," Young said.
Moloney will be back at AAMI Park next week for his usual end of season review and medical check. He also has every intention of attending the Demons best and fairest function.
A move would see Moloney join his third club, having debuted for Geelong in 2003. He was traded to Melbourne at the end of 2004 and has played total of 145 AFL games.
As a restricted free agent Melbourne has the ability to match any offer made by another club, but based on how 2012 has panned out it appears the Demons are unlikely to put up a fight to retain him.
